This research park is a 44-acre development immediately adjacent to the Los Alamos National Labs main technical area. Its focus is on meeting the business needs for high quality office and light laboratory space of companies working in close collaboration with LANL. The park master plan, produced by SMPC and Sasaki, creates a campus environment to promote interaction. The park projects utilize sustainable development principles and tele-connectivity is state-of-the-art. The 300,000 sq. ft. of office and laboratory space will be built out over a 10-year period. The first structure, a 4-story, 85,000 sq. ft. office building, sets the standard for future development.
Services include building design, interiors and individual tenant space planning. Master planning and site development services, including infrastructure coordination, and all City reviews and approvals required for a special use zone, were also provided for this research campus.
