“The idea is to remain in a state of constant departure, while always arriving.”
– Richard Linklater
As a native of Albuquerque, Marron has always had a passion for the unique culture and landscape of New Mexico. She has traveled to several Spanish speaking countries to learn the language and in so doing developed a passion for linguistics and comparing other traditions to the specific melting pot of culture represented here. She is also passionate about sustainable building and has participated in some hands-on small scale alternative structure projects.
After a brief semester at UCONN, she came back to New Mexico and began pursuing her undergraduate degree at UNM, studying Anthropology and American Studies. After trying out a few different career opportunities as an administrative assistant/paralegal for a non-profit law office, movie and film industry support, assisting in local agriculture, and management in the medical cannabis sector, she decided to complete an Associate degree in Culinary Arts at CNM. Wanting to expand her horizons after trying her hand as a line cook and pastry chef at a few local restaurants and food trucks, she joined SMPC as their Administrative Assistant in 2021. She enjoys being helpful and helping the gears of the office run smoothly.
On her days off, you can find her still dabbling in the culinary arts with her small-scale preserved foods and catering company, watching charmingly bad movies, hiking, camping, and otherwise exploring with her boyfriend and their dog and cat.
