The Bavarian Restaurant Addition, Dining Renovation, and Deck Expansion
Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico
Charming and authentic, the Bavarian is an idyllic European alpine lodge located in Taos Ski Valley at the base of Lift 4 and the bottom of Kachina Peak.
SMPC was architect of record and oversaw construction of additions at the restaurant in 2018-2019. Our work consisted of a 1,000 square foot addition to provide space for a new kitchen. The existing kitchen was remodeled to provide new indoor dining space and to enlarge the bar.
An existing outdoor dining deck was removed and a new expanded deck was designed and built, including an outdoor bar and server area. An independent toilet room facility was also added, connected to the deck which is open during the summer months, providing dining, bar and rest facilities to hikers and mountain bikers.
