The Gamma Lambda chapter of Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society in Architecture and Allied Arts recently presented Alex Nellos the Bronze Medal at a ceremony at George Pearl Hall, School of Architecture & Planning. The Bronze Medal is awarded by the individual chapters of Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society to students who have distinguished themselves in design in the field of architecture, landscape architecture, or the allied arts. The Gamma Lambda chapter was established by the School of Architecture and Planning at the University of New Mexico in 1994.

The Bronze Medal was awarded based on Alex’s academic achievements and student work.  Alex’s UNM portfolio of projects includes an array of project types including housing, commercial and cultural buildings, and master plans.

We are excited for Alex’s graduation this weekend from the Master of Architecture program at the School of Architecture and Planning, University of New Mexico.  In addition to her soon-to-obtain degree from UNM, Alex holds degrees from both Panama and Spain.

Alex is an intern architect at SMPC and has been key member of several project teams since starting at the firm in 2018.
